August 2007 New video The boys shot a video for WISH yesterday, watch this space for more. 07. August 2007 MPG plays at Rod Stewart Convention in the UK It is no secret that Martie has been a huge Rod Stewart since he was a kid! He and the boys in MPG are thrilled to have accepted the invitation to play a very special tribute set at the charity show ”The Big RSC Weekend” in the UK in February 2008. Rod Stewart himself has asked for all proceeds to go to help in the fight against Prostate Cancer so the charity beneficary will be ”The Prostate Cancer Charity”. This show is a one night only event and will see the band cover rare album tracks by Rod Stewart. More MPG dates will hopefully be added to the UK in support of ”Road To Salvation” so watch this space for that. Another Danish date has been added to the calendar. More details in the Events section New drummer Please welcome aboard our new drummer Jens B. There is a picture of the Swedish drummer who have already played his first gig with the boys in the band section Check his MySpace page for more. June 2007 MPG live in the US in 2007 Martie and the band will appear at the 10th anniversary show for melodicrock.com in South Bend, Indiana, USA on Saturday October 6. Also on the bill are some of the biggest name in the history of melodic rock like Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple & Rainbow), Mark Slaughter (Slaughter, Nelson Brothers & Eric Martin (Mr. Big) to name a few. This time it’s the largest rock site on the entire Net giving ”Road To Salvation” a staggering 91% review and celebrating the new sound as ”old meets new” without losing the most important factors - the melody and the attacking guitar riffs. Danish nationwide newspaper BT has reviewed ”Road To Salvation” and done it in style, 5 out of 6 stars, claiming Martie is a true ”believer” who can still melt the hearts of women with his vocal harmonies! March 2007 Friday night in the heart of Copenhagen The band opened for Eric Singer Project (with John Corabi and Bruce Kulick) on Friday night and it was a great night! In the crowd was Jake’s brother, Thomas Schlein, who is a photographer and the pictures above are from his camera.
